Data Connectors
Points of Interest
The package bundles nodes that fetch points of interest (POI) from open geodata sources: OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API and the tourism data platform Datahub Rheinland-Pfalz. Both nodes deliver flat objects that the NGSI-LD Builder turns into entities such as PointOfInterest.

Shared notes
- Dependencies: The package uses
axiosfor HTTP requests andosmtogeojsonto convert OSM JSON into GeoJSON. Both are installed automatically with the package. - Credentials: The OSM Overpass node needs no API key but is subject to the fair-use rules of the public Overpass servers. The Datahub RLP node needs an access token of a Datahub user account, which is stored encrypted in the Node-RED credentials store.
- Editor services: The edit dialogs of both nodes access external services: Nominatim and Taginfo (OSM Overpass) and the dataCycle API (Datahub RLP). The maps in the dialogs load Leaflet and map tiles from OpenStreetMap over the internet, so they are unavailable in isolated networks.
- Data protection: OSM data and Datahub contents may contain contact details of businesses or, for resolved links in the Datahub, details about persons (authors, contact persons). Check which attributes may be published before forwarding them to a context broker.
- Data licences: OpenStreetMap data is published under the ODbL with an attribution requirement; the Datahub Rheinland-Pfalz is subject to the terms of use of its operator.
